After many years and other musical endeavors, the year 2007 brought together a group of musicians calling themselves, The Foxhole Prayers.
The project, headed by Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter Greg Riordan, formerly of Once Hush and the Greg Riordan Project, has been on the mid-Atlantic scene for over a decade. After more than 15 years touring the intercontinental United States and the Virgin Islands and playing with acts such as The Samples, Virginia Coalition, CSN, Laughing Colors, Jump, Little Children, The Pat McGee Band, Everything, Whiskeytown, and SuperDrag Greg has amassed a large collection of original music.
In 2005 Greg returned to Maryland and met Chris Wojtal and Garrett Anderson. Both were coming off stints as guitarists in the Baltimore based rhythm and groove band LUCA, and were looking for new gigs when LUCA split and approached Greg about playing bass and guitar with him as part of an evolving cast of characters and ideas. Mark Dinaldo, drummer extraordinaire, has toured with the Karl Shuman Band and played previously with Greg. Mark was enlisted to help The Foxhole Prayers round out their sound and find their groove. The project had also featured Kenton Dunson on drums and percussion.
